Hackers Hold Mitt Romney’s Tax Returns Hostage

Mitt Romney’s tax returns have been hacked into by a group that plans on releasing the information nationally at the end of the month unless they receive $1 million in ransom. The files were stolen from PricewaterhouseCooper’s office in Tennessee on the night of August 25.

The group gained access to the 3rd floor of the PWH building from a gentleman who worked there. During the night they made their way down to suite 260 and copied all 1040 tax returns of Mitt Romney they could find. Then they sent flash drives to both parties as evidence that they control copies of Mitt Romney’s tax information before 2010.

The group claims they will release all information September 28, unless they receive the $1 million in Bitcoins, which is an online currency that is extremely hard to trace and identify. This was a modern day mission impossible episode that continues to develop as the day goes on.

This would never have been an issue if Mitt Romney had done like every other presidential nominee and release his tax returns. His failure to disclose information about his millions of dollars and numerous bank accounts all around the world continues to bring controversy to the secrecy of his campaign.

At the Democratic National Convention on Tuesday night, there were many notable speakers that blasted Mitt Romney for being the least transparent candidate that has ever run for high office. I’m sure that the GOP will do everything in their power to hide this information.
