Paul Ryan Says Explaining Romney’s Tax Plan “Would Take Me Too Long”
Now Fox News is even getting fed up with the Romney/Ryan campaign and their lack of details with any of their plans, especially their tax plan. Chris Wallace, of Fox News Sunday, wanted some specific details from Paul Ryan about Mitt Romney’s tax plan, but what he got was another excuse and the same old line, trust me.
Paul Ryan said he would give you the details about Romney tax plan but “I don’t have the time. It would take me too long to go through all of the math.” He claims that every American would receive a 20% deduction in their tax rates. When asked how much that would cost, he said “its revenue neutral.”
There is a great line in “how the devil is in the details”, but if people are not given the details, anybody can proclaim anything they want. Paul Ryan and Mitt Romney continue to run the most-vague campaign in modern history. They keep blowing off reporters who want actual details to any of their plans.
The Romney/Ryan campaign offers no explanation for how they would deal with taxes, Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security. They have no idea how to offset $5 trillion in tax reductions over the next 10 years, to the wealthiest Americans, including himself.
If you really want the details of Mitt Romney’s plan, just remember what President Bush did over his 8 years in office. Gov. Romney plans to continue his economic policies as well as his foreign policies. So the GOP can try and hide their agenda, but the American people remember the 8 year Bush nightmare that seemed like 30 years.
