“Romney Hood” Takes From The Poor, Gives To The Rich

President Obama has a new name for Mitt Romney’s tax plan. It’s called “Romney Hood”, which takes from the poor and gives to the rich. The exact opposite of what Robin Hood and his merry men did. Numerous nonpartisan organizations have agreed that Romney’s plan would be disastrous for the U.S.

The President was speaking at a campaign event in Connecticut when he coined the phrase “Romney Hood”, which takes from the poor and gives to the rich. He compared the GOP tax plan to Robin Hood in reverse. He also hit Mitt Romney with his “trickle down fairy dust” attack, referring to the failed policies of his GOP predecessors.

The Tax Policy Center, which is another nonpartisan group, said that millionaires and billionaires would receive tax cuts of at least $250,000, while middle-class families would pay up to $2,000 more a year. Over 98% of American families would see their taxes go up, while the richest families would get a huge tax break.

After President Bill Clinton left office, there was a huge surplus waiting for George W. Bush we he took over control of the Presidency. He squandered it by implementing the Bush tax breaks which gave the wealthiest Americans huge tax cuts. These cuts have added over a trillion dollars to the U.S. federal debt and nearly bankrupted the country. It was also the main reason that the U.S. economy was downgraded for the first time in history.

Americans do not want to go back to the failed policies of trickle down that have been so disastrous for the U. S. Mitt Romney wants to go even further than the Bush tax cuts, so wealthy people like him don’t have to pay their fair share. We really don’t know how much he pays because he won’t release his tax information. President Obama has continued his commitment to look after the needs of the middle class, not the rich.
