Romney Playing Weasel: Runs Away from Mourdock Comments
GOP Presidential nominee Mitt Romney simply has no comment on the ridiculously insensitive remarks made by Republican Senatorial candidate Richard Mourdock who said that “rape is god’s plan.” He is being asked by thousands everywhere he goes but refuses to take a stand. He is running away like a sissy on the school yard, shying away from confrontation.
Mitt Romney has only supported one person running for the Senate, and that would be Indiana’s GOP candidate Richard Mourdock. Gov. Romney has not displayed the guts or honesty to answer questions on the subject yet. His campaign put out a statement disagreeing with the remarks while still supporting Mourdock. When will Mitt Romney show some backbone and leadership in the face of any controversy?
President Obama made his feelings known very quickly after this firestorm began. He says that “rape is rape” period. One thing you never have to worry about when it comes to the President is his stance on any issue. You may not agree with him but you are always going to get an honest straight forward answer. He has the guts and character to voice his beliefs and what he was taught throughout his life.
Mitt Romney on the other hand always checks to see which way the wind is blowing before he will give his opinion. He is a chameleon with no backbone to rely on. He is like a cold fish never venturing upstream. The U.S. does not need a President who is scared to assert what he believes in. His lack of character would be a disgrace to the office.
