Supreme Court OK’s Early Voting In Ohio

The Supreme Court has sided with Democrats in their decision to OK early voting in the Buckeye state. Republicans tried to block early voting, which includes the three days before the election when over 100,000 people voted back in 2008. This is a huge victory for the President because he has a big advantage with early voters in the battleground state of Ohio.

The GOP has tried in every state to suppress the vote and make it extremely hard for a lot of Democratic voters to get to the polls. The have resorted to every trick in the book but have been denied on their unconstitutional and un-American tactics.

A federal appeals court ruled in favor of reinstating early voting on the weekend leading up to the election, which was taken away by Republicans especially Ohio Secretary of State Jon Husted. The decision however was not enough, he took it all the way to the Supreme Court and they declined his ridiculous request.  This is big news for Democrats because everyone knows the saying, “whoever wins Ohio, wins the White House.”

While the GOP continues their effort to stop Democrats from voting all over the country, they are getting real push back from the courts at every turn. They have put most of their voter suppression efforts into the battleground states like Pennsylvania, Florida, Iowa, Ohio and Virginia. So far they are being denied on voter suppression and their voter purge lists. People must continue to fight the slimy un-patriotic tactics of the GOP.
